1. Backstory:
Pleasant Platform emerged from the vibrant indie music scene of Portland, Oregon. In 2011, four friends from college, Simon Parker on vocals and rhythm guitar, Maddie Jones on lead guitar and backing vocals, Dan Johnson on drums, and Tommy White on bass, decided to come together and channel their shared passion for music into a band. They named themselves ‘Pleasant Platform’, symbolizing the stage they wanted to create for their listeners where they could escape from their lives and find solace in music.

The band quickly gained a local following. Their raw, authentic sound coupled with their honest and heartfelt lyrics resonated with fans. In 2013, they were picked up by indie label, Driftwood Records and released their first EP. Since then, they have been touring and recording consistently, making their mark on the indie music scene.
