Pleasing River

Backstory:
Pleasing River is a unique ensemble that came together in the picturesque city of Asheville, North Carolina. Band members Jared Miller (lead vocals, guitar), Samantha White (bass, backing vocals), and twin brothers Evan and Ethan Thompson (drums and keyboards respectively), all shared a mutual appreciation for the city’s majestic rivers and mountain landscapes. Inspired by their surroundings, they decided to form a band that would evoke the calming and gentle flow of a river, hence the name, Pleasing River.

Their journey began in a local coffee shop where they would perform for the usual patrons. However, their distinct sound and impeccable harmonies soon caught the attention of a local producer who offered them their first record deal. Despite facing their share of challenges and obstacles, Pleasing River has remained resilient, continuing to create music that resonates with their audience.

[G] Down the [Am] river, where the [C] willows weep,
