Backstory:

Formed in the small coastal town of Ipswich, Massachusetts in 2008, Polite Effect is a group of childhood friends who discovered their shared love for music at an early age. The band members, consisting of lead vocalist Liam Cox, guitarist Benny Harper, bassist Alex Grant, and drummer Noah Turner, spent their teenage years playing in various garage bands, honing their skills, and dreaming about making it big someday. Their name, Polite Effect, was a tongue-in-cheek nod to their humble beginnings, a moniker chosen to reflect their quintessentially polite New England roots and the effect they hoped to have on the music industry.
