Backstory:

Poor Continent is an eclectic ensemble formed in the heart of New York’s vibrant indie scene. The band was the brainchild of lead singer-songwriter, Gabriel Holloway, who found himself inspired by the struggles and triumphs of people living in poverty around the globe. Brought together by a shared vision to tell these stories through music, Gabriel united with bassist, Lia Kelly, drummer, Max “Thunder” Jenson, and keyboardist, Theo Sullivan. The band’s name, Poor Continent, arose from their objective to give a voice to the hopeless, the struggling, the ones who, despite the odds, strive to find their place in the world. Their soulful lyrics and unapologetic sound resonate with the raw realities of life, earning them appreciation from a diverse audience.
