Backstory:
Prize Temperature was formed in the vibrant music scene of Seattle in 2012. The group is made up of childhood friends Jason Collins on vocals and guitar, Dave Woolf on bass, and Tim Harris on drums. Naming their band after the temperature at which they won their first local band competition, they decided to keep this as a reminder of their roots and initial triumphs. Their journey was not without obstacles, but their undeniable chemistry and shared love for music helped them overcome any hurdles.

Title:
“Chasing Horizons”
Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
G (Em) C (D)
In the city lights, under neon fights
G (Em) C (D)
We found our way, through the darkest nights
G (Em) C (D)
Chasing horizons, stars as our guide
G (Em) C (D)
With a song in our hearts, and a fire inside
[Chorus]
G (Em) C (D)
We are the dreamers, we are the night
G (Em) C (D)
We are the silence, in the noise, we find light
G (Em) C (D)
Chasing horizons, with our heads held high
G (Em) C (D)
We won’t stop running, until we touch the sky
[Verse 2]
G (Em) C (D)
Through the pouring rain, through the crashing waves
G (Em) C (D)
We found our beat, in the chaos, a melody played
G (Em) C (D)
Chasing horizons, the sun on our face
G (Em) C (D)
With hope in our eyes, and the world in our gaze
[Chorus]
G (Em) C (D)
We are the dreamers, we are the night
G (Em) C (D)
We are the silence, in the noise, we find light
G (Em) C (D)
Chasing horizons, with our heads held high
G (Em) C (D)
We won’t stop running, until we touch the sky

Testimonial:
“Prize Temperature is more than just a band to me. Their songs speak to my soul, and not a day goes by without their music playing in the background. ‘Chasing Horizons’ particularly resonates with me. Perhaps it’s the melody or the lyrics, but every time the song comes on, I feel as if they’re talking directly to me. It’s as if they understand me, the struggles I face, and the dreams I chase. Prize Temperature doesn’t just create music; they create an atmosphere, a community, a feeling of belonging. They have become the soundtrack of my life.”
