Backstory:
Proud Proposal erupted onto the local music scene in Nashville, Tennessee in 2018. The band members, Tommy Jenkins (lead vocalist and guitarist), Ethan Grant (drummer), and Lily Madison (keyboardist and backup vocalist), met in a songwriter’s workshop and quickly bonded over their shared passion for creating music that moved souls. They admired the greats like The Beatles and Bob Dylan, but they sought to create a unique sound, a blend of their influences, that would resonate with a wider audience. The band’s name comes from a phrase they overheard at a coffee shop, a man proposing to his girlfriend, making them reflect on the courage it takes not only to propose to someone but also to propose new ideas to the world through their music.
