Backstory:
Quarrelsome College was formed in the dorm halls of one of the most prestigious universities in Eastern Europe. The band was born out of a heated argument between two best friends, Jakob “Jake” Kowalski and Mihail “Mick” Popescu, over their shared love for music and their individual interpretations of it. Jake was an accomplished accordion player, while Mick was a self-taught guitarist. The duo decided to channel their passion and disagreements into creating unique, harmonious, and sometimes argumentative music that would give their band its distinct identity. The addition of Viktor “Vik” Ivanov, a classically trained violinist, and Ana Popescu, Mick’s younger sister and a gifted percussionist, completed the band’s lineup.

Title:
“Through the Dorm Room Window”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
C G Am Em
Underneath the dim glow of a single bulb,
F C G
We strum the strings and beat the drum,
C G Am Em
In the confines of our dorm room,
F G C
Where Quarrelsome College had begun.
(Chorus)
F C G Am
Through the dorm room window, we saw dreams,
Em F G
Bathed in the moonlight’s silver streams.
(Verse 2)
C G Am Em
Jake’s accordion would wail and weep,
F C G
Mick’s guitar would gently creep,
C G Am Em
Ana’s rhythm was the pulse, the heartbeat,
F G C
Vik’s violin, the soul’s deep secret seep.
(Chorus)
F C G Am
Through the dorm room window, through the night,
Em F G
We made music, we set hearts alight.
Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a young man named Dimitri. He discovered Quarrelsome College during a challenging time in his life. Their music, with its folk-rock tones and deep, soul-inspiring lyrics, provided him with the comfort and strength he needed. Despite being deaf in one ear, Dimitri would always position himself at the front of every Quarrelsome College concert, feeling the vibrations of the music and absorbing it in his unique way. He says, “Quarrelsome College is not just a band for me, they are my lifelines. Their music is my testament of survival.” Dimitri is a living example of the band’s ethos – to argue, to disagree, and yet to create something harmonious and beautiful.
