Backstory:

Born out of the bohemian coffeehouses of Portland, Oregon, Quirky Heart is the brainchild of lead vocalist and songwriter, Josie James, and multi-instrumentalist, Theo Schmidt. Josie, a poet, and Theo, a classically trained cellist, found an unusual yet fitting connection in the city’s thriving indie scene. They combined their disparate backgrounds, creating a melting pot of sounds, where the classically influenced instrumentation meets the raw power of poetic expression. Soon, they were joined by drummer, Lily Green, and bassist, Xavier Martinez, whose contributions brought an additional layer of depth to their eclectic sound.
