Backstory:
Quixotic Executive was formed in the bustling heart of Manhattan, amidst the towering skyscrapers and fast-paced corporate life. The band was started by two college roommates, passionate about music but ironically sucked into the quicksand of corporate jobs. After years of 9 to 5 desk jobs and dead-end meetings, the duo, Jacob and Aaron, decided to ditch the suits and ties, and instead picked up their guitars, forming the band Quixotic Executive. Their music resonates with their past lives, reflecting the raw emotions of the corporate world, offering a perfect blend of melancholy and rebellion against the mundane.

Title:
“Chasing Paper Dreams”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em G C
Skyscrapers high, in ties and suits we tie,
D Em
The corporate lie, in paper dreams we fly.
Em G C
Clocks ticking fast, in glass boxes, we’re cast,
D Em
Puppet strings hold us, how long will they last.
(Chorus)
G D Em
We’re just chasing paper dreams,
C G D
In a world that’s not what it seems.
G D Em
Quixotic Executives we are,
C G D
Stars lost in a corporate war.
(Verse 2)
Em G C
Elevator rides, hiding tears, smiles wide,
D Em
In the maze of power, we’re forced to reside.
Em G C
Coffee stains, office pains, life in chains,
D Em
Echoes of freedom, only silence remains.
(Chorus)
G D Em
We’re just chasing paper dreams,
C G D
In a world that’s not what it seems.
G D Em
Quixotic Executives we are,
C G D
Stars lost in a corporate war.

“I’ve been a diehard fan of Quixotic Executive since their first gig at a local pub in Manhattan. Their music hits close to home as I’ve been a part of the corporate world myself. The raw emotion they put into their music, the vivid imagery they create with their lyrics, they just get it. ‘Chasing Paper Dreams’ is my personal favorite, it’s like they’ve put my everyday life into a song. I listen to it on my way to work, and it somehow gives me comfort, makes me feel less alone. Quixotic Executive isn’t just a band to me, it’s a reflection of my life.”
