Backstory:

Regular Layer was born out of a shared love for music and a desire to create something different in the small industrial town of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Made up of four childhood friends, the band came together during their high school years after an impromptu jam session in the basement of lead vocalist, Luke Johnson. From that day forward, they committed to honing their craft, spending countless late-night sessions practicing and creating their unique sound. The band members include Luke Johnson on vocals and rhythm guitar, Paul Stevens on lead guitar, Max Martin on bass, and Chris Davis on drums.

Regular Layer spent several years performing at local pubs and music festivals, steadily building a dedicated fan base with their creative blend of music. They gained local fame for their inventive sound and the deep, reflective lyrics that resonated with their listeners. This local popularity led to a recording contract with an indie label and the release of their debut album, which was critically acclaimed within the indie music scene.
