Backstory:
Formed in the gritty heart of Detroit in 2010, Repentant Punishment has its roots in a basement where four childhood friends sought an escape from the mundane routine of their day jobs. The band is comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Tyler ‘Scythe’ Bronson, drummer Danny ‘Damage’ DeMarco, bassist Kevin ‘Mauler’ Matthews, and keyboardist Pete ‘Penance’ Peterson. Their shared dissatisfaction with societal norms and the state of the world led to intense jamming sessions that gradually transformed into something bigger. Their music became a catharsis for themselves and their fan base, an outlet for frustration and a beacon of hope, wrapped in a raw, unfiltered sound.
