1. Backstory

With humble beginnings in the heart of Austin, Texas, “Required Wish” was formed in 2012 when childhood friends, Caleb Rockford, and Jake Mason, decided to nurture their shared passion for music. The two spent countless nights in Jake’s garage, fostering a unique sound that fused classic punk rock with a modern touch of alternative pop. They eventually recruited the talented drummer, Lola Stevens, and charismatic bassist, Flynn Taylor, solidifying the band’s lineup. Over the years, they’ve battled through a whirlwind of underground gigs, minor record deals, and the ups and downs of the indie music world, but their undeniable talent and unyielding persistence have seen them rise to the top of the alternative music scene.
