Respectful Reflection

Backstory:

Respectful Reflection started as a group of high school friends in the small town of Montrose, Colorado, with a shared passion for music and deep-rooted respect for classic rock and roll. The band comprises of lead vocalist Jenny Smith, guitarist James Lawton, bassist Robert Pierce, and drummer Lisa Peterson. They started performing at local joints, schools and county shows during their teenage years. Over time, their chemistry became infectious, and they found their unique sound, which eventually grabbed the attention of some local record labels.

Their big break came when they won the statewide Battle of the Bands competition, leading to a contract with the renowned record label, ‘Peak Music’. This contract allowed them to reach a wider audience, sell out bigger venues, and solidify their standing in the music industry. Respectful Reflection’s music resonates with a diverse audience because it’s grounded in authenticity, respect for music, and a reflection of their personal experiences and values.

Title:

“Mirror of Our Minds”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am [G] I the same, in the [D] mirror of our [Em] minds?
Do you [C] see what I see, or am I [G] blind?
We’re on [D] different roads, but our [Em] hearts intertwine,
In the [C] mirror of our minds, in the [G] mirror of our minds.

(Chorus)
[G] Look deep into the [D] mirror, tell me what [Em] you find,
[C] Is it love or fear, what’s [G] left behind?
[D] We’re a reflection, in the [Em] mirror of our [C] minds.

(Verse 2)
[G] Shadows cast, by the [D] light we can’t [Em] find,
[C] Ghosts of the past, in the [G] mirror of our [D] minds,
We [Em] search for truth, though it’s [C] sometimes unkind,
In the [G] mirror of our minds, in the [D] mirror of our [G] minds.

(Chorus)
[G] Look deep into the [D] mirror, tell me what [Em] you find,
[C] Are we lost or are we [G] free, in the [D] mystery of [Em] time?
[C] We’re a reflection, in the [G] mirror of our [D] minds.
