Backstory:

Ripe Heat was formed in the sweltering summer of 2011 in the heart of Austin, Texas; a city known for its vibrant music scene. The band was the brainchild of lead singer and guitarist, Sam “Scorch” Thompson, who decided to channel his passion for music into a project that would reflect the heat of the local culture. Joined by bassist, Lucy “Blaze” Martinez, drummer, Tim “Inferno” Lee, and keyboardist, Mia “Ember” Jones, the band seeks to encapsulate the raw, spicy flavor of Austin’s music scene.

Despite their humble beginnings playing in small local bars and music festivals, Ripe Heat quickly gained a reputation for their fiery performances and intense energy, catching the attention of the national music scene. Their songs, filled with soul, passion, and tantalizing rhythms, quickly resonated with listeners, turning Ripe Heat into a household name within the music community.
