Backstory:
Ripe Leaf was formed in 2009 by a group of college friends in the heart of Seattle. The group originally consisted of lead singer and guitarist Aaron Thompson, drummer Jamie Patterson, bassist Mark Simmons, and keyboardist Laura Ward. Their shared passion for music and composition rooted in their love for nature, experiences of love, and life’s ups and downs paved the way for Ripe Leaf. Drawing inspiration from the Pacific Northwest’s lush landscapes and vibrant seasons, the band incorporated these elements into their music which led to them adopting their unique name. Over the years, their sound evolved as they matured both personally and musically, but their commitment to creating soulful music stayed constant.
