Backstory:
Rubbery Metal had its roots in the gritty streets of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where it all began. The band’s founding members, bassist Billy ‘Buzzsaw’ Jameson and drummer Rick ‘Rumble’ MacGregor, were former steel mill workers who found solace in the beat of hammers and the rhythm of the machines. When the steel mill shut down due to economic downturn, they decided to transform their industrial experiences into music. They were soon joined by vocalist and guitarist, Terry ‘Throttle’ Smith, a mechanic by day and a bar-room singer by night. They combined their love for heavy metal music and their past experiences to create a unique, hard-hitting sound, weaving stories of the working class into their lyrics.
