Backstory:
Formed in the laid-back, sun-soaked corners of Sydney, Australia in 2007, ‘Sandy Bush’ is the brainchild of childhood friends, Liam ‘Sandy’ Sanderson and Rachel ‘Bushy’ Bushnell. Growing up together, they spent countless summer holidays surfing the waves and strumming melodies on the beach, which eventually saw the birth of their band. Their collective love for music and the beach cultivated an authentic sound that resonated with their close-knit community, and soon, they were the talk of the local music scene. Later, they added a third member, their beach buddy and bassist, Ian ‘Waves’ Waverley, to complete the trio. Their music is a candid reflection of their lives – filled with anecdotes of surfing, camaraderie, beach-side romance, and the Australian sunshine.
