Sardonic Fifth

Backstory:

Born in the gritty urban landscape of Chicago, ‘Sardonic Fifth’ emerged as an unlikely band of misfits, each bringing a unique musical background and personal history to the mix. The band consists of a former choir boy with a love for punk, a classically trained violinist gone rogue, a jazz-influenced drummer, and a bassist who grew up worshipping rock gods. During their early days, they bonded over their shared appreciation for music, sarcasm, and the ironic elements of life, which led to their unique band name. They started out in grimy basement gigs and small pubs, but their fresh sound and cheeky demeanor quickly gained them a loyal following, propelling them into the mainstream music scene.

“Silhouettes of Irony”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
C G
Walking down the cold, dark alley,
Am E
Saw the silhouette of irony.

C G
Laughing at the world’s cruel joke,
Am E
Life’s a circus, we’re the folk.

(Chorus)
F C G
Sardonic smiles, we wear,
Am E F
Underneath, just despair.
F C G
Laughing in the storm,
Am E F
In this world, we’re the norm.

(Verse 2)
C G
Neon lights glow in the distance,
Am E
Reflections of our existence.

C G
Drowning in the sea of satire,
Am E
Burning in the sardonic fire.

(Chorus)
F C G
Sardonic smiles, we wear,
Am E F
Underneath, just despair.
F C G
Laughing in the storm,
Am E F
In this world, we’re the norm.
