Sardonic Lad

Backstory:
Sardonic Lad was formed in the eye of the cultural hurricane of the early 2000s in the eclectic city of Austin, Texas. Childhood friends, Eddie Baxter and Brian Green, shared a common dream of starting a band that would reflect their shared love for music and their sharp, satirical approach to life. The name ‘Sardonic Lad’ was conceived as a nod to their reputation for being wry wit-wielders in their local neighborhood. After recruiting drummer, Carla Madison, and bassist, Lester Brooks, from the local music scene, the band was complete and ready to take on their musical journey.

Genre:
Sardonic Lad is a blend of Indie Rock and Post-Punk Revival, characterized by their unconventional song structures, biting lyrical content, and energetic stage presence.

Title:
“Suburban Paranoia”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
E B A
Yeah I grew up in the suburbs,
E B A
Where the white picket fences lined the streets,
E B A
Behind them hid the secrets,
E B A
The lies, the scandals, and the cheats.

[Chorus]
E B A
Suburban paranoia, it’s a state of mind,
E B A
A silent hysteria, a sorrow undefined.

[Verse 2]
E B A
We wore our masks of perfection,
E B A
In the world where nothing’s as it seems,
E B A
Underneath the surface,
E B A
We were just children with broken dreams.

[Chorus]
E B A
Suburban paranoia, it’s a state of mind,
E B A
A silent hysteria, a sorrow undefined.

[Bridge]
E B A
In the heart of the suburbs, lies a tale untold,
E B A
Of dreams shattered, of hearts gone cold.

[Chorus]
E B A
Suburban paranoia, it’s a state of mind,
E B A
A silent hysteria, a sorrow undefined.

[Outro]
E B A
Suburban paranoia, we’re all victims of its kind,
E B A
A silent hysteria, a tale of our time.
