Backstory:
Scaly Mist was formed in the early 2000s in the heart of the bustling city of Chicago. The band consists of four members: lead vocalist, Jake “Scaly” Donovan, lead guitarist, Max “Mist” Winstead, drummer, Tom “Thunder” Jackson, and bassist, Dan “Depth” Robinson. The name ‘Scaly Mist’ was inspired by a painting they saw at an art exhibit; a dragon emerging from a foggy landscape, embodying the mysterious and ethereal sound the band aspired to create. They started out by performing at local bars, where their unique sound captured the interest of music enthusiasts, leading to a gradual rise in popularity. After years of hard work, their break came when they were spotted by a renowned music producer who was captivated by their music and offered them a record deal.
