Scarce Warmth

Backstory:
Scarce Warmth was formed in the heart of the chilly winters of Anchorage, Alaska in the late 2000s by childhood friends, Lucinda ‘Lucy’ Summers and Jerome ‘Jay’ Hart. The two friends found solace and warmth in music amidst their frosty surroundings. Lucy, the lyricist and keyboardist, and Jay, the vocalist and guitarist, started performing in small local cafes and pubs, eventually garnering a significant following in their city and beyond. Their unique sound and heartfelt lyrics began to resonate with the locals, especially with those who found it difficult to find warmth in Alaska’s frigid winters.

Genre:
Scarce Warmth primarily falls into the genre of Indie Folk with a touch of Melancholic Pop.

Title:
“Aurora’s Whisper”

Full Song Lyrics:

Verse 1:
[G] Underneath the cold starlight,
[Em] We find solace in the night,
[C] With Aurora’s whisper guiding us,
[D] Its ethereal green and lilac dust.

Chorus:
[G] Aurora speaks in hush and hue,
[D] Telling tales of love and rue,
[Em] We’re just trying to glean warmth,
[C] In a land that’s cold and forlorn.

Verse 2:
[G] Through the icy winds that blow,
[Em] In the heart of indigo,
[C] We find rhythm in the silence,
[D] And music amidst the violence.

Chorus:
[G] Aurora’s whisper, a secret song,
[D] In this land where nights are long,
[Em] Amidst the cold, we find our truth,
[C] In melodies of our uncouth youth.

Bridge:
[C] We are dreamers, lost in snow,
[D] Our warmth scarce, our hopes aglow,
[G] Guided by the lights above,
[Em] We sing, we dream, we love.

Chorus:
[G] With Aurora’s whisper in our ears,
[D] We drown out the winter’s fears,
[Em] Scarce warmth, in our hearts it resides,
[C] As we dance under the starry tides.
