Backstory:
Formed in the vibrant and eclectic music scene of Austin, Texas in 2012, Self-Assured Formation was the brainchild of vocalist and guitarist, Mark Stevens, and drummer, Tyler Jensen. Both were fresh college graduates, disillusioned with the monotony of 9 to 5 jobs, and decided to explore their shared passion for music. They were soon joined by the talented bassist, Lisa Roberts, and keyboardist, Adam Cooper. Together, they started creating music in Stevens’ garage, their sound echoing down the narrow streets of their neighborhood. Their unapologetic lyrics and innovative sound soon garnered a local following and within a year, they were performing at local venues and music festivals.
