Selfish Punishment

Backstory:

Selfish Punishment was formed in the heart of London in 2011. Four friends, who were attending the same high school, had a shared passion for giving a unique spin to the music scene. The band members included Jack Stevens on vocals, Harry Reeds on guitar, Luke Patterson on the drums, and Sam Davis on the bass. They started playing in the school’s talent shows and soon graduated to gigs at local pubs. Their loud, rebellious tunes resonated with the youth, who felt seen and heard through the band’s music. Their rise to fame was steady, but they remained grounded, always reminding their fans that it was them who made Selfish Punishment what it is today.

Title:

“Echoes of Oblivion”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em Am C G
In the corridors of silence, we lay our hearts bare,
Em Am C G
Under the cold moonlight, we find solace in despair,
Em Am C G
In the echoes of oblivion, we scream our fears,
Em Am C G
In the river of time, we shed our silent tears.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
Echoes of oblivion, echoes of our time,
Em C G D
Lost in the rhythm, lost in the rhyme,
Em C G D
In the echoes of oblivion, we learn to survive,
Em C G D
In the echoes of oblivion, we learn to thrive.

(Verse 2)
Em Am C G
In the whispers of the wind, we hear our names,
Em Am C G
In the dance of the shadows, we play our games,
Em Am C G
In the echoes of oblivion, we find our peace,
Em Am C G
In the echoes of oblivion, our souls release.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
Echoes of oblivion, echoes of our past,
Em C G D
Caught in the moment, caught in the vast,
Em C G D
In the echoes of oblivion, we learn to forgive,
Em C G D
In the echoes of oblivion, we learn to live.
