Backstory:
Born in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas in 2010, Sentimental M emerged as an unexpected, yet refreshing, addition to the indie music scene. The band was formed by four childhood friends – Melody Hart (vocals/guitar), Mike Jones (bass), Mason Ford (drums), and Max Harper (keyboards). The four, who always shared an unparalleled passion for music, decided to create a band that would defy the norms and redefine the essence of indie rock music. Their unique sound is a result of their different musical influences, ranging from jazz, folk, to grunge rock, all culminating into a captivating blend of deep lyrics and melodic harmony.
Sentimental M came into the limelight after their energizing performance at the legendary SXSW festival. Their compelling performance, lyrical depth and distinctive sound, helped them gain popularity, and soon they found themselves signing a record deal. Gaining a dedicated fanbase, they continue to create music that resonates with the complexities of emotions, hence the ‘Sentimental’ in their name.
