Backstory:
Serene Second was formed in the heart of Los Angeles in 2010, consisting of four childhood friends: Aaron (vocalist), Ryan (lead guitarist), Thomas (bassist), and Derek (drummer). They all attended the same high school and spent their free time in Derek’s garage, making music and dreaming of the spotlight. It wasn’t until Aaron’s older sister, a local radio personality, played their demo on air that their dreams began to materialize. After a frenzy of positive feedback from listeners, Serene Second was catapulted into local fame, leading to their first record deal.
The band’s name, Serene Second, was inspired by a shared philosophy among the members. They believe in the power of a quiet moment, a serene second, to disrupt the chaos of existence and inspire beauty and creativity. As a band, they’ve aimed to capture these moments in their music, hoping to provide a place of peace and reflection for their listeners.
