Shabby Glue

Backstory:
Shabby Glue traces its roots back to 2010 in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas. The core of the band, childhood friends Adam and Charlie, began by jamming in their parents’ garages. What began as a shared love of music soon turned into the seeds of a band. They eventually called their project “Shabby Glue,” a name inspired by their shared belief that music was like a shabby glue, holding people and moments together in imperfect but meaningful ways. By 2012, they had recruited drummer Sarah and bassist Liam, and the band’s lineup was complete. They soon built local fame with their electrifying performances and unique sound, leading to a record deal and the release of their debut album in 2015.

Genre:
Shabby Glue’s music can be best described as Indie Pop with a touch of Rock, a unique blend that has become their signature style.

Title:
“One Last Dance”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
C G Am Em
Caught in the headlights of a passing car,
F C G
I saw your face, it looked so far.
C G Am Em
We danced like shadows in the pale moonlight,
F C G
Holding onto the love that felt so right.

(Chorus)
C G Am Em
Give me one last dance, under the starry sky,
F C G
Let our hearts collide, let our spirits fly.
C G Am Em
One last dance, before we say goodbye,
F C G
In your arms, under the moon’s soft sigh.

(Verse 2)
C G Am Em
Tangled up in dreams, we used to share,
F C G
Now you’re just a whisper in the air.
C G Am Em
Echoes of laughter, tears we shed,
F C G
In the book of love, our story’s read.

(Chorus)
C G Am Em
Give me one last dance, under the moon’s soft glow,
F C G
Let’s lose ourselves, in the rhythm slow.
C G Am Em
One last dance, before we let it go,
F C G
One more memory, for the road.

Favorite Fan:
Their biggest fan is undoubtedly Emily Henderson. She’s been following the band since their early days and has been to every show in Austin. “Shabby Glue is my favorite because their music speaks to me on a deep, emotional level,” says Emily. “Their lyrics are filled with raw honesty and their melodies are just so catchy. They really capture the human experience in their songs, and I think that’s what makes them so special. Every time I see them perform live, it’s like being part of a shared experience, a community. It’s more than just a concert, it’s a celebration of life, love, and music.”
