Backstory:
Shadowy Shower was conceived in the heart of Seattle’s grunge scene in the early 2000s. The original members, Lexi Valentine on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Jay Riddle on lead guitar, Danny Franks on bass, and Tommy Rockwell on drums, were all disillusioned with the mainstream music industry and sought to create a unique and authentic sound. Each member brought their own influences, from blues and vintage rock to punk and grunge, blending together to create a dark, rainy yet revitalizing sound, true to their Pacific Northwest roots. Their first gig took place in a small, dimly lit bar in the artsy Burnside district. Despite the lack of a proper stage or sound system, their raw talent and charismatic performance left a lasting impression, and Shadowy Shower quickly gained a devoted local following.

“Rains of Reminiscence”
Full song lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Em C G
Walking down this cold, empty street
Em C G
Echoes of our love in every beat
Em C G
Memories flood like a torrential downpour
Em C G
Our love’s not here, not anymore.
[Chorus]
Em C G
In the shadowy shower of the past
Em C G
Our love was too wild to last
Em C G
In the rains of reminiscence, I am lost
Em C G
Bare to the bone, I count the cost.
[Verse 2]
Em C G
The scent of you still in the air
Em C G
Echoes of laughter, pain, and despair
Em C G
Each raindrop a memory, each thunderclap a scream
Em C G
Shrouded in shadows, in this waking dream.
[Chorus]
Em C G
In the shadowy shower of the past
Em C G
Our love was too wild to last
Em C G
In the rains of reminiscence, I am lost
Em C G
Bare to the bone, I count the cost.
Favorite Fan:
Jack Richards, a longtime fan, hails from their hometown of Seattle. Jack was there from the beginning, from their first gig at the small bar in the Burnside district. Despite the band’s growth and their subsequent world tours, Jack never misses a homecoming show. To Jack, Shadowy Shower isn’t just his favorite band because of their unique sound. It’s their authenticity, their passion, and their ability to convey raw emotion through their music that resonates with him deeply. He says, “Shadowy Shower’s music isn’t just a melody to my ears, but a language to my heart.”
