Shallow Foot

Backstory

Shallow Foot was born in 2010 in the small town of Elmwood, Wisconsin by four high school friends; lead vocalist and guitarist Jack Stanton, bassist Gary Fuller, drummer Pete Thompson, and keyboardist Lisa Johns. They began by playing in small local bars and clubs. After a couple of years of honing their skills and experimenting with their sound, they were discovered by an A&R executive in a dingy bar during a late-night performance. Their raw energy, unique sound, and heartfelt lyrics struck a chord with the executive and were soon signed to an indie record label.

In 2013, they released their debut album ‘Steps of the Shallow’ which gained considerable attention from the indie music community. Their eclectic sound, a merging of rock with a hint of blues and folk, resonated with a vast audience, leading to an increasingly growing fan base. Shallow Foot has continued to cultivate their unique sound, yearning to create music that speaks to and connects with their listeners, offering solace in a sometimes chaotic world.

Title

“Hollow Rain”

Song Lyrics

(Intro) G D Em C

(Verse 1)
G D
Underneath the hollow rain,
Em C
Walking barefoot, feeling pain.
G D
We’ve come so far, yet here we stand,
Em C
Lost in a no man’s land.

(Chorus)
G D
Hollow rain, wash away the hurt,
Em C
Bury the past, beneath the dirt.
G D
Let’s start anew, in the morning light,
Em C
Dancing in the shadows, out of sight.

(Verse 2)
G D
Eyes so tired, yet full of fire,
Em C
Caught in the crosshairs of desire.
G D
The echo of laughter, in the pouring rain,
Em C
We’ll find ourselves, again and again.

(Chorus)
G D
Hollow rain, cleanse our souls,
Em C
From the ache, from the hollow holes.
G D
With every drop, we’ll rise again,
Em C
Stronger in love, and free from pain.

(Outro) G D Em C
