Short-Term Airline was formed in the mid-80s by college friends Patrick McCarthy and Simon Andrews in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. Patrick’s raspy voice perfectly complemented Simon’s melodious acoustic guitar tunes, eventually leading to the creation of their band. Drawing inspiration from their love for travel and the complexities of human relationships, they named their band ‘Short-Term Airline’, symbolizing their journey through the melodies of life.

Their music reflected the ups and downs of their lives, travels, and relationships and resonated with a wide array of audiences. They were propelled into stardom after their first album, “Departure Gate”, topped the charts.
