Silly Card

Backstory:

Silly Card started their musical journey in the sleepiest suburbs of Albany, New York. Comprising of high school friends – Danny on the lead vocals and guitar, Timmy on the bass, and Richie on the drums, they formed the band in 2008. Initially, they were just a garage band, playing for their friends and family, but their music resonated with their community, and they started getting invites to perform at local events. Their unique sound, a blend of folk, rock, and pop, garnered admiration and acknowledgement from the local music scene, leading to their breakthrough single in 2012.

Genre:

Silly Card’s music is an eclectic mix of Folk, Pop, and Rock.

“One More Card to Play”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] One more card to [D] play, [Em] on this rainy day
[C] Life seems a little [G] grey, [D] but we’re okay
[G] It’s just another [D] Sunday, [Em] we’ll find our way
[C] As we always [G] say, [D] it’s a new day.

(Chorus)
[A] Put your worries [Em] away, let the music [G] play
[D] We are Silly [A] Card, making your [Em] day
[G] With every tune we [D] play, we make the grey [G] fade away.

(Verse 2)
[G] Another card to [D] play, [Em] as we sway
[C] The night is here to [G] stay, [D] let’s not delay
[G] In this moonlight [D] ray, [Em] we’ll make a play
[C] Turning night into [G] day, [D] in our own way.

(Chorus)
[A] Put your worries [Em] away, let the music [G] play
[D] We are Silly [A] Card, making your [Em] day
[G] With every tune we [D] play, we make the grey [G] fade away.

Band’s Favorite Fan:

Our favorite fan is Sammy Brown. Sammy has been with us since our garage days, attending every local performance and becoming a part of the Silly Card family. He even traveled with us to our first big gig in NYC! When asked why we’re his favorite band, Sammy’s response was: “Silly Card isn’t just a band, it’s a feeling. Their music isn’t just tunes, it’s an emotion. It’s like every song they play, every card they lay down, they’re telling my story in their words. They’re more than just favorite, they’re a part of me.”
