Backstory:
Simplistic Join was born in the heart of New York City in 2013, from a shared love of storytelling and profound love for music. The band’s core members, lead vocalist Jason Martin and guitarist Richard Stevenson, crossed paths at a local open-mic night. Their chemistry was palpable, both musically and socially, leading them to form the band. As they evolved, they brought on percussionist, Emily Grace, and bassist, Oliver Thompson, to complete their distinct sound. Simplistic Join’s early days saw them performing in small, smoky bars around the city, honing their skills and crafting their unique style.
However, their big break came in 2016 when they were discovered by a prominent record label executive during a gig at the legendary Bowery Ballroom. This encounter led to a record deal that catapulted Simplistic Join into the mainstream. Despite their success, the band remains grounded, with their focus on delivering authentic, relatable music that resonates with their fans.

Testimonial:
“I’ve been a fan of Simplistic Join since their early days. I saw them at an open-mic night in this dingy bar and was instantly entranced by their music. Their songs resonate deeply with me and often reflect my own thoughts and feelings. ‘Time Capsule Whispers’ is my favorite song; it feels like it’s been written for me. The band is incredibly humble and connected to their fans, despite their fame. They have always remained authentic, and I believe that is what makes them a favorite for many.”
