Sinful Member

Backstory:
Sinful Member is a gritty, underdog story of four individuals from different walks of life coming together under the banner of raw, passionate music. The band was formed in 2004 in the back alleys of New York City, when lead singer and guitarist Jack “Whiskey” Callahan ran into drummer Mickey “The Hammer” O’Sullivan at an underground punk show. The duo bonded over their love for blues-infused punk rock and decided to form their own band. Eventually, they were joined by bassist Sara “Lightning” Jensen and keyboardist Danny “The Phantom” McPherson, thus completing the line-up of Sinful Member.

The band initially struggled to find their sound, performing at dingy bars and local clubs, often to audiences that barely filled the room. However, after several years of relentless gigging and songwriting, Sinful Member started to build a cult following. Their breakthrough came in 2011 when their heart-wrenching ballad “Bleeding Love” was featured in an indie film, launching them onto the national stage.

Song Title:
“Rusted Hearts, Iron Will”

Full song lyrics:

[Verse]
C (Fmaj7) G
In the city’s heart where the lights are dim,
Am (C/G) F
We found our solace, in the world’s grim.
Em (Am) G
Rusted hearts we’ve got, but an iron will,
F (C/E) G
In the chaos, we found our thrill.

[Chorus]
C (Fmaj7) G
With every beat of our rusted hearts,
Am (C/G) F
We’re painting a canvas, it’s our art.
Em (Am) G
Through the storm, we’ve learnt to sail,
F (C/E) G
Broken, battered but we will not fail.

[Verse]
C (Fmaj7) G
Dark alleys whisper tales of old,
Am (C/G) F
In the rhythm of the night, we are bold.
Em (Am) G
Sinful members in the world’s cruel game,
F (C/E) G
Same battlefield, but not the same aim.

[Chorus]
C (Fmaj7) G
With every beat of our rusted hearts,
Am (C/G) F
We’re carving our path, it’s our start.
Em (Am) G
In the maze of life, we found our thrill,
F (C/E) G
Rusted hearts we got, but an iron will.

They create art that resonizes with the human condition; their lyrics often a mirror to society’s soul.
