“Velvet Shadows”
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[C] Velvet shadows on the [G] wall,
[Am] Lost echoes of a [Em] fading hall.
[C] Innocence of a [G] love gone by,
[Am] Caught in the [Em] whispers of your sigh.
(Chorus)
[F] Velvet shadows, [G] heartache’s call,
[C] We danced on the [Em] edge before the fall.
[F] Your love was my [G] savior,
[C] Lost in the [Em] velvet shadows of our behavior.
(Verse 2)
[C] You were a [G] dream in the night,
[Am] A steady [Em] beacon of light.
[C] Those sweet moments [G] we used to share,
[Am] Now it’s just the [Em] cold winter air.
(Chorus)
[F] Velvet shadows, [G] silent tears,
[C] Memories of [Em] our yesteryears.
[F] You were my [G] forever,
[C] Now we’re just the [Em] velvet shadows together.
