Backstory:

Slow Leisure originated from a small coastal town in California, where high school friends Ethan Murray, Jace Donahue, and Harrison Lively first started playing music together in a dusty garage. To pass the time during those slow beach town summers, they would fiddle with their guitars, a second-hand drum kit, and a battered keyboard, slowly crafting their unique sound. Their music started catching the attention of their local community when they performed at school events and beach bonfire parties.

After graduation, the trio decided to pursue their passion for music and moved to Los Angeles. They rented a small apartment and converted it into a makeshift studio where they continued refining their sound. In a city known for its fast-paced lifestyle and cut-throat competitiveness, Slow Leisure served as a breath of fresh air, offering listeners a chance to unwind and slow down, hence their unique band name.
