Small Jail

Backstory:

Small Jail is a band that was born out of rebellion and a shared love for music in the unlikeliest of places – a small town jail in rural Pennsylvania, hence the name. The band’s founding members, Jake and Rhett, met when they were both serving time for minor infractions. Jake, a tattooed rebel with a knack for writing poignant lyrics, and Rhett, a quiet, contemplative soul who could make magic with his guitar, found common ground during their stint and began writing music to escape the monotony of their lives. Upon their release, they decided to turn their shared passion into a full-time endeavor and recruited two more members- Finn on the drums, and Max on the bass. Small Jail was born, bringing their unique blend of music to the world, and turning their time behind bars into a source of inspiration rather than shame.

Favorite Fan:

Our favorite fan is a woman named Lila. She sent us a heartfelt letter explaining how our music comforted her during a difficult time in her life, and how the rawness and honesty of our songs resonated with her. She says, “Small Jail’s music helped me realize that we all make mistakes, we all have our struggles, but it doesn’t define us. Their music gave me the strength to face my past and keep moving forward. They turned their ordeal into a powerful tool for self-expression, and that’s incredibly inspiring. Small Jail is my favorite band because they’ve turned their pain into beautiful music and they’ve shown me that it’s possible to rise above any situation.”
