Snappy Furniture

Backstory:
Hailing from the vibrant streets of New Orleans, Snappy Furniture was formed in a small flat owned by lead vocalist and drummer, Max Thompson, and guitarist, Freddie Jones. The two childhood friends were always united by their shared love of music and woodworking, a passion that stemmed from time spent in Max’s father’s carpentry shop. They decided to merge these two passions and formed their band, Snappy Furniture, a name that served as an ode to their background. Joined by bassist Pearl Davis and keyboardist Sammy Watkins, the quartet began to create music that was as comfortable and quirky as an old wooden chair, yet as vibrant and snappy as the jazz-infused air of New Orleans.

Genre:
Snappy Furniture’s music can be best described as Funk-Rock infused with Jazz, creating a unique sound that’s as eclectic and unpredictable as the city they come from. Their music is a thrilling ride, taking listeners from the mellow sounds of smooth jazz, to the high-energy beats of funk and rock.

Title:
“Swinging Chairs”

Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Cmaj7 Gm7
I met you in a room full of noise,
Dm7 Am7
Underneath the brassy trumpet’s voice,
Cmaj7 Gm7
You were sipping on your bourbon neat,
Dm7 Am7
Our eyes met, and my heart skipped a beat.

(Chorus)
Fmaj7 Cmaj7
In this jungle of swinging chairs,
Dm7 G7
We found love amidst the musical flares,
Fmaj7 E7
Dance with me under the neon lights,
Am7 D7
Let’s lose ourselves in these jazzy nights.

(Verse 2)
Cmaj7 Gm7
Your laughter echoes in the dim-lit bar,
Dm7 Am7
We create our melody under the shining star,
Cmaj7 Gm7
With each strum, my love for you unfolds,
Dm7 Am7
In the rhythm of our hearts, our story is told.

(Chorus)
Fmaj7 Cmaj7
In this jungle of swinging chairs,
Dm7 G7
We found love amidst the musical flares,
Fmaj7 E7
Dance with me under the neon lights,
Am7 D7
Let’s lose ourselves in these jazzy nights.

My name is Hannah, and I am without a doubt Snappy Furniture’s number one fan. The first time I heard their song, “Swinging Chairs,” I fell in love with their unique blend of funk, rock, and jazz. It’s like they took the very essence of New Orleans and transformed it into music. Their songs are not just tunes to me; they’re a rhythmic journey filled with emotions and stories that resonate with me deeply. I’ve been to every concert in town, and their live performances are just as captivating, if not more, as their recorded tracks. Snappy Furniture isn’t just a band for me; they’re an experience that I wouldn’t trade for the world.
