Backstory:
In the heart of the bustling city of Chicago, four musically inclined friends decided they wanted to create something unique, formed their own band and named it ‘Soft Discrimination’. Despite their different backgrounds and varied music tastes, they found common ground in their shared love for creating music that speaks to the soul and challenges societal norms. The band name was chosen as they felt it portrayed their mission perfectly – to subtly and musically address various forms of discrimination they had seen or experienced.
The band comprises of lead singer and guitarist Leo, drummer Max, bassist Sam, and keyboardist Alex, each bringing a unique flavor to their music. They’ve been playing together since their early high school days, often practicing in Leo’s garage, much to the chagrin of his parents. Their journey from local gigs to the national stage has been a roller coaster ride, but their indomitable spirit and shared dream have kept them going.

“I first saw Soft Discrimination playing at a local bar in Chicago. Their lyrics hit me hard, addressing issues that are often swept under the rug. Their music is not just about entertainment, it’s about making a statement, and that’s what sets them apart. I love their energy, their passion, and their commitment to social justice. Every song is a testament to their stand against discrimination, and it’s inspiring. They’re my favorite band because they’re not just musicians, they’re musicians with a mission.”
