Backstory:

Born in the garage of a suburban home in Madison, Wisconsin, Soft Nut began as a group of high school friends obsessed with the idea of creating a unique sound that would push the boundaries of conventional music. Led by charismatic frontman Ricky ‘Bones’ Bonelli, a grocery store cashier with a knack for songwriting, the band includes drummer Terry ‘Tango’ Logan, a former high school marching band geek; Lisa ‘Lush’ Hamilton, a keyboardist and part-time music teacher; and Carl ‘Crank’ Miller, a bass player who doubles as a car mechanic. Following years of rehearsing in cramped basements and performing in local bars, Soft Nut struck a chord with audiences with their surrealist lyrics and eclectic sound, eventually landing a record deal that propelled them into the limelight.
