Backstory:
Some Island was formed in the sleepy coastal town of Newport, Rhode Island, where four childhood friends discovered a shared passion for making music. Lead vocalist and guitarist, Jamie Thompson, drummer, Casey O’Brien, bassist, Sam White, and keyboardist, Lily Murphy, started playing together in high school, honing their skills with each school talent show and local gig. After their graduation, the friends decided to pursue music full time, leaving the quiet of Newport behind for the bustling streets of New York City. Trading seaside serenity for metropolitan chaos, Some Island found their sound evolving, becoming a unique blend of their coastal roots and the rhythmic energy of the city.
