Backstory:
Sparkling Memory, a unique mix of childhood friends and college buddies, formed in their small Texas town in 2008. The founding members, Jayson Rhodes and Riley McKenzie, began with a simple acoustic guitar and an old piano, writing songs in Jayson’s garage. As their passion for music grew stronger, they enlisted the help of Caleb Wilson on drums and Evan Foster on bass. The four of them, having shared a love for music since elementary school, decided to take their passion to the next level after graduating college. The band’s name, Sparkling Memory, was coined from a phrase Riley’s grandmother used to describe how music made her feel. It seemed only fitting to dedicate their musical journey to the woman who instilled the love of music within them.
