Backstory: Spotted Space was formed in the vibrant college town of Austin, Texas. In 2010, four astronomy students, intrigued and inspired by the mysteries of the universe, found a common interest in music and decided to start a band. The group comprised lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist David “Galaxy” Gibson, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Tommy “Nebula” Nelson, bassist and backing vocalist Mike “Meteor” Morgan, and drummer and backing vocalist John “Jupiter” Johnson. The band’s name, Spotted Space, reflects their shared passion for cosmic exploration, the pursuit of knowledge, and the time they spent stargazing together in the college observatory.
