Backstory:
“Square Library” was conceived in the humble town of Oswego, Oregon in the year 2015. The four-piece band consisting of childhood friends, lead vocalist Ben Gibson, drummer Colin Stevens, guitarist Alex Thompson, and bassist Mike Williams, found solace and inspiration in their local library. The name “Square Library” represents the square-shaped library building where they spent countless hours reading music sheets, exploring various genres, and honing their craft.
After years of performing in local gigs and festivals around Oregon, their unique sound and lyricism started gaining attention from both local and international audiences. Their dedication, creativity, and passion for music kept them going, earning them their first record deal in 2018.

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] In this silence, [C] under the neon light,
[Am] I see you reading, [D] lost in the paperback night.
[G] Pages turning, [C] echo in my mind,
[Am] Tales of love and sorrow, [D] leaving the world behind.
(Chorus)
[G] Paperback dreams, [C] ink-stained fantasies,
[Am] We’re stories in the making, [D] lost in these melodies.
[G] We write our chapters, [C] on this stage so bright,
[Am] In our square library, [D] under the moonlight.
(Verse 2)
[G] Words are dancing, [C] in rhythm with your heart,
[Am] I strum my guitar, [D] as you play your part.
[G] Love letters, [C] etched in harmony,
[Am] Our songs are our memoirs, [D] in this symphony.
(Chorus)
[G] Paperback dreams, [C] ink-stained fantasies,
[Am] We’re stories in the making, [D] lost in these melodies.
[G] We write our chapters, [C] on this stage so bright,
[Am] In our square library, [D] under the moonlight.

“Square Library is more than just a band to me; they’re a part of my life. Their lyrics resonate with me on so many levels and have helped me through my toughest times. I remember being at their first show in a small pub in Oswego. The energy was electric, and even then, I knew they were destined for great things. Over the years, they have evolved, but their music remains authentic, moving, and deeply relatable. Their song, ‘Paperback Dreams’, is my favorite. It’s a beautiful mix of heart-touching lyrics and powerful melodies that always leaves me inspired. For all of this and more, Square Library is, and will always be, my favorite band.”
