Backstory:
Squeaky Individual was born in the heart of New York’s bustling music scene, in the late 2000s. The three band members, Joey on vocals and guitar, Marla on bass, and Frankie on drums, met at a warehouse party and bonded over their love of alternative rock and social activism. Joey, an eccentric poet, had been playing gigs at local coffee shops. Marla, a classically trained cellist, was seeking a new creative outlet after quitting her orchestra, while Frankie, a self-taught drummer, was known for his vibrant street performances. Despite their different musical backgrounds, they found a unique chemistry and decided to form Squeaky Individual.
Their breakthrough came when their debut album, ‘Noise and Silence’, caught the attention of a renowned music producer who saw the potential in their eclectic sound and raw lyrics. Since then, they have been creating a buzz with their energetic performances and thought-provoking music.

Full song lyrics:
[Verse 1]
C G Am E
Caught in the middle of the noise and silence,
F C G
Running from truth and the blatant lies.

In the echoes of our silent screams,
F C G
We find ourselves, we break our dreams.
[Chorus]
Am E F C
‘Cause we’re the squeaky individuals,

Living in a world that’s cynical.
C G Am E
In the chaos, in the fears,
F C G
We find our voice, we shed our tears.

C G Am E
We dance in the shadows, we sing in the light,
F C G
Against the odds, we fight the fight.
C G Am E
In the rhythm of our beating hearts,
F C G
We find our melody, we create our arts.
(Repeat Chorus)

Testimonial:
“I’ve always been a huge fan of alternative rock, but Squeaky Individual is something else, they’re my favorite. Their music speaks to me on such a deep level. The poetic lyrics, the unique sound, the energy – it’s simply unparalleled. They’re not just a band for me, they’re storytellers, activists, artists. ‘Silent Screams’ is my anthem, a song I turn to whenever I need to find my strength. I’ve been to every gig they’ve played in New York, and I can’t wait for the next one. Squeaky Individual is more than a band, they’re a movement. And I’m proud to be a part of it.”
