Backstory:

Stained Doctor emerged from the vibrant music scene of New Orleans in the late 2000s. Consisting of lead vocalist, Dean Kessler, guitarist, Rory ‘Red’ Monroe, bassist, Sam ‘Blues’ McGill, and drummer, Mick ‘Pulse’ Donovan, the band met at a local dive bar during a late-night jam session. What started as a spontaneous, alcohol-fueled jam has now morphed into a full-fledged band. They adopted their name ‘Stained Doctor’ as a tongue-in-cheek nod to their own personal struggles and recovery, where the ‘stain’ represents past troubles, and ‘doctor’ signifies healing through music.

The band’s initial years saw them playing small gigs and open-mic nights, slowly developing their unique sound and building a fanbase. They released their first album in 2012, which was warmly received by critics and listeners alike. The band’s gritty journey, combined with their raw, heartfelt music, has earned them a dedicated following and a prominent place in the indie music scene.
