Backstory:
Stiff Significance first came to life in the bustling suburbs of Manchester, England, in 2010. The band was formed by a group of five childhood friends; Jonathan “Jonny” Mitchell (vocals, guitar), Emily Griffiths (keyboard, backing vocals), Richard “Rich” Taylor (lead guitar), Mike Walsh (bass), and Simon Bennett (drums). They all had one thing in common – a deep-seated passion for music, especially their shared love for rock. After years of honing their skills in Jonny’s garage, they made their first public appearance at a local pub in 2012, and they’ve been on a roll ever since.
The name ‘Stiff Significance’ was inspired by a phrase they overheard in a philosophy lecture they snuck into at a local university; it resonated with their need to create music that was meaningful and stood strong in the face of adversity. They started out performing covers of their favorite bands, but soon began to experiment with their own sound and started writing their own songs. Their experimental yet grounded approach quickly started gaining attention in their local scene, and soon enough, on a national level.

Title:
“Echoes of Eternity”
Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em / C / G / D
From a world where silence has a voice,
Underneath the starlight’s noise,
In the echoes of eternity, we find our way.
(Chorus)
C / G / D / Em
We are the seekers, we are the dream,
Living on whispers and a prayer it seems,
In the echoes of eternity, we make our stand.
(Verse 2)
Em / C / G / D
In the shadows of forgotten dreams,
With hearts stitched with hope’s golden seams,
In the echoes of eternity, we dance again.
(Chorus)
C / G / D / Em
We are the poets, we are the song,
In the echoes of eternity, we find where we belong.
(Outro)
Em / C / G / D
In the echoes of eternity, we are strong.
Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is undoubtedly Rose Evans, a local woman who has been there since their first gig at the pub. She fell in love with their music and has not missed a single performance since. She once said, “Stiff Significance is more than a band to me. Their music is like an echo of my own emotions – sometimes a whisper, sometimes a roar. They’ve been the soundtrack to my highs and lows, and they’ve helped me feel less alone in my journey. I love them because they’ve shown me that even in the echoes of eternity, we all have our own significance.”
