Stingy Bay

Backstory:
Stingy Bay hails from the coastal town of Wilmington, North Carolina, where three high school friends, Jay, Curtis, and Danny, found a shared love for music and the sea. Their band name, Stingy Bay, is a nod to their hometown and a local bay known for its abundance of stingrays. Their story began in their high school years, where they would play impromptu gigs on the beach, using the rolling waves as their rhythm section. As they grew older, their music evolved with them, and Stingy Bay turned their jam sessions into serious songwriting, eventually catching the attention of a local bar owner who gave them their first official gig.

Their fame began to spread through word of mouth, and soon they were playing at music festivals and concerts across the East Coast. Despite their growing success, Stingy Bay remains rooted in their coastal origins, infusing their beach-born spirit into every note they play. They’ve managed to maintain their close friendship through the ups and downs of their music career, creating a sense of unity and authenticity that resonates with their fans.

Genre:
Stingy Bay fits comfortably into the indie rock genre, though they bring in elements of folk and country for a unique blend of sun-soaked tunes.

Title:
“Sunset Serenade”

Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Cmaj7 G
Barefoot in the summer sand,
D Em
Underneath the setting sun, we make our stand.
Cmaj7 G
We share our dreams, we share our fears,
D Em
In this stingy bay, we’ve shed our tears.

(Chorus)
G D
Sunset serenade, under the sky of jade,
Em C
We’ll keep on playing, until the night fades.
G D
This is our paradise, doesn’t need to be nice,
Em C
Just good friends, and a roll of the dice.

(Verse 2)
Cmaj7 G
As the tide rolls in, we play our song,
D Em
To the rhythm of the waves, we sing along.
Cmaj7 G
With a guitar strum, and a tambourine jingle,
D Em
In our hearts, these melodies mingle.

(Chorus)
G D
Sunset serenade, under the sky of jade,
Em C
We’ll keep on playing, until the night fades.
G D
This is our paradise, doesn’t need to be nice,
Em C
Just good friends, and a roll of the dice.
