1. Backstory:
Stingy Ship’s inception sprouted out of the unlikeliest of circumstances. After a chance encounter during a community service clean-up project on the beach, lead vocalist and guitarist Mark “Captain” Robertson stumbled upon Nate “Sting” Henderson, a talented drummer. The duo bonded over their shared love for music and the ocean, and discovered a unique synergy when they jammed together. It was on one unforgettable night, while working on an old, dilapidated ship at the local harbor, that they decided to form “Stingy Ship”.

Stingy Ship burst onto the music scene in 2015 with their unique blend of indie rock infused with a maritime flair. Their lyrics often draw heavily from nautical themes, depicting tales of sea voyages, maritime folklore, and the challenges of the sailor’s life.
