Backstory:

Stingy Weather was born in the heart of Austin, Texas, where the music scene is as eclectic as the weather itself. The four members met at a local dive bar’s open mic night, where each had come to nurse their dreams of music and a beer. Finding common ground in their diverse musical influences and the quirky unpredictability of Austin’s microclimatic twists, the band name Stingy Weather was a natural choice.

The band members include lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Eddy “Cloud” Simmons, lead guitarist James “Thunder” Harrison, bassist Mick “Lightning” Flynn, and drummer Sam “Rain” Ford. Each member brings their individual musical taste, from folk, rock, blues to jazz, creating a unique blend that has become Stingy Weather’s signature sound. They’ve been playing together since 2017, slowly building a loyal fan base with their unique sound and relatable lyrics.
