Backstory:
Strange Concession was conceived in the bustling city of Austin, Texas, where four high school friends: lead vocalist and guitarist Emma, bassist Max, drummer Luke, and keyboardist Olivia, combined their love for music and storytelling to create a uniquely captivating sound. Each of them brought their own musical influences, ranging from rock, folk, to blues which helped in creating an immersive and diverse musical landscape.
After graduation, they decided to take their garage jam sessions to the next level by forming an official band. They named themselves ‘Strange Concession’, reflecting their inherent quirkiness and the sacrifices they made to pursue music. Their music dealt with themes of teenage angst, love, and existential ponderings, resonating with audiences of all ages. Their raw talent and unique sound quickly gained traction, and they’ve been steadily rising in popularity since.
