Backstory:
Born out of the bustling, vibrant music scene of New York City, Stupid Secretary is an eclectic ensemble of four musicians who met while juggling day jobs in the corporate world. Fed up with the monotony of their 9-to-5 life, they found solace in their shared love for music and began jamming in their respective office spaces after hours. Thus, Stupid Secretary was born – a band that serves as a musical outlet for their daily office grind, turning their shared experiences into a blend of gritty, raw tunes.

Title: Ballad of the Cubicle Hell
Full Song Lyrics:
Verse 1: (Em – G – D – A)
Stuck in the cubicle hell, (Em)
Punching numbers, living in a shell, (G)
Paperwork mountain, coffee swell, (D)
Ring of the phone is a familiar knell. (A)
Chorus: (C – G – D – Em)
We are the stupid secretaries, (C)
Trapped in corporate libraries, (G)
Rebelling against the monotony, (D)
With tunes of our cacophony. (Em)
Verse 2: (Em – G – D – A)
A suit and tie, our daily attire, (Em)
Burning dreams on the office fire, (G)
But when the sun sets, we conspire, (D)
Singing songs of our hearts’ desire. (A)
Chorus: (C – G – D – Em)
We are the stupid secretaries, (C)
Breaking free from the boundaries, (G)
In the rhythm of our harmony, (D)
We find our sanctuary. (Em)

Testimonial: “Stupid Secretary is my favorite band, not just for their music, but for their ethos. They dared to turn their frustrations with the mundane into a dynamic, lyrical rebellion. As a fellow ‘office drone’, their songs resonate with my own experience. Their sound is raw, real, and relatable. The ‘Ballad of the Cubicle Hell’ is my anthem – it’s a song that finds beauty in the banal, hope in the humdrum. Every time I listen to them, I feel seen, heard, and understood. They remind me that even in the most mundane moments, there can be music and magic.”
